He later joined the USNTDP again for the 2018–19 campaign, scoring 33 goals and dishing out 48 assists for 81 points in 64 games. He noted after he signed his letter of intent to play for Boston College in the 2019–20 season “I’d always wanted to play at BC, so when the opportunity presented itself, it was difficult to refuse. I grew up hanging around there and attending their games. When I had the choice, I made it quite quickly.”
In 22 games of Boston College’s truncated 2020–21 season, he led the Eagles in scoring with 11 goals, 20 assists, and 31 points. He signed a three-year, entry-level deal with the Minnesota Wild on March 31, 2021. For the balance of the campaign, he was then transferred to their American Hockey League (AHL) club, the Iowa Wild. He made his NHL debut on January 6, 2022, when he scored the game-winning goal in the Minnesota Wild’s 3-2 victory over the Boston Bruins. He recorded his first NHL hat trick in the Minnesota Wild’s 7-4 victory over the Detroit Red Wings on February 14, 2022.
