She won a gold medal in 2022 and is now the Women’s World Champion. She defeated Jitping Jutaamas of Thailand in the Fly weight class. The venue for the grand tournament was Istanbul, Turkey. She has now become India’s sixth woman to win the title of Women’s Boxing Champion. The Women’s World Boxing Championship gold medalists prior to Nikhat were Jeeny R.L., Mary Kom, Lekha K.C., and Laishrma Sarita Devi.
