Ross Cameron, 54, was born in 1965 and is the son of a member of the New South Wales Legislative Assembly.
Ross is an Australian politician by trade, having previously worked as a lawyer and policy advisor in Australia.
He was elected to parliament in 1996 after winning the Division of Parramatta in the Federal election. During his time in parliament, he represented the Labor Party’s Parramatta seat. He was also a member of The Fellowship, a Christian organization.
Ross, however, lost his seat in the 2004 federal election after admitting to adultery. He left parliament to join Macquarie Bank’s Investment Group, where he worked in both the private and public sectors until 2008.
Ross was also the creator of MyATM. He purchased more than 15.5 million shares on MyATM in April 2010 and became a shareholder with a net worth of approximately $3.9 million.
