Ruby made her professional wrestling debut as Lovelace for Juggalo Championship Wrestling, defeating C.J. Lane. She received professional instruction from Billy Roc’s School of Roc.
After spending two years in local wrestling promotions, she obtained a tryout with Ohio Valley Wrestling on May 16, 2012.
Heidi Lovelace made her OVW debut, however she was defeated by C.J. Lane. Furthermore, she defeated Taeler Hendrix at a live event in Elizabethtown, Kentucky, to earn her first-ever championship, the OVW Women’s Championship.
