Thapar senior was born in Nangal, Punjab, on December 26, 1976. Colonel V.N Thapar, his dad, was the child and grandson of armed force officials. Ms Tripta Thapar was his mom’s name. Thapar was an officer in the Maratha Light Infantry who was in charge of a Jammu and Kashmir Rifles battalion.
