Giannis Antetokounmpo has career-high 55 points in Bucks’ win
“I want my game to be boring,” Antetokounmpo stated. “Because it’s uninteresting, people don’t talk about what I do every night. That’s my goal. My game should bore others. I’m not bored. Great players never tire. They perform well every night.”
Antetokounmpo has scored 40 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists in his last three games. The two-time MVP missed Sunday’s 118-95 Wizards loss due to a strained left knee.
Only Elgin Baylor in 1961 and 1963, Wilt Chamberlain in 1963, and Russell Westbrook in 2016 have had three consecutive 40-point, 10-rebound, 5-assist games.
Flynn Robinson in February 1969 and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar in February 1972 are the only Bucks to score at least 40 points in three consecutive games.
“He’s kind of playing with this kind of determination, this kind of just willing us in games,” Bucks coach Mike Budenholzer said. “We won tonight. He’s amazing.”
Brook Lopez is on his fifth season with Antetokounmpo. The 7-footer couldn’t remember Antetokounmpo’s best regular-season period.

Lopez had 21 points and 12 rebounds. “He keeps getting better. We’ll have to broaden the English language to find words for him. I’m sure he’ll improve again. He’s unpredictable. He’s otherworldly.”
