The Brooklyn Nets will play the San Antonio Spurs on Tuesday evening in Texas. They will, however, be without their starting point guard, as Kyrie Irving has been ruled out due to a calf injury.

The former first-round pick is having a fantastic season, averaging 25.6 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 4.8 assists per game on 48.0% shooting from the field.
Earlier this month, Irving scored 27 points in a 139-103 win over the Spurs at home.
The Nets have been one of the best teams in the NBA over the last month and a half.

With a 27-15 record in 42 games, they are currently tied for the second seed in the Eastern Conference with the Milwaukee Bucks.
The Nets are 7-3 in their last ten games, and they are 14-8 in their last 22 games away from Barclays Center.
Irving is in his fourth season with the Nets, but the team has only won one playoff series in that time.
Having said that, they appear to be a team capable of competing for the NBA Championship in 2023.
Meanwhile, the Spurs enter the night as the Western Conference’s 14th seed with a 13-31 record in 44 games.
They are on a five-game losing streak and are 8-15 in their last 23 home games in San Antonio, Texas.
