Shakira roasts ex Gerard Pique AND his new girlfriend in cutting lyrics as she sings about being ‘too big for you’
In a duet with producer Bizarrap, the Colombian pop sensation sings “I’m too large for you,” which will be published today.
According to Mundo Deportivo, the lyrics from Shakira Bzrp Music Sessions 53 provided fans a taste of what was to come.
“I’m too large for you, that’s why you’re with someone just like you,” she allegedly sings about Piqué’s new romance.
Shakira, 45, has returned to music with vigour since her high-profile breakup with the Spanish football icon after 11 years.
Recent tracks Te Felicito and Monotona alluded to her ex, but not as boldly as her current lyrical style.
The new song will be a collaboration with popular Argentine producer Bizarrap, who has previously worked with Spanish-speaking rappers.
“This is for me to mortify you, chew and swallow so it doesn’t sting, I won’t return to you any longer, even if you cry or beg me,” according to the lyrics.
“I realized it’s not my responsibility that they criticize you; I only make music; sorry for splashing you.”
The A-list couple announced their divorce in June of last year and have been embroiled in a custody battle for their two sons ever since.

The 35-year-old former Barcelona defender is presently living with his new girlfriend and coworker Clara Chia Marti, 23.
According to reports in Spain, Piqué, who recently announced his retirement from football, cheated on the singer.
A video interview with the footballer from 2021 that was discovered this week has added to these suspicions. Clara appears in the frame during the time when Shakira and Piqué were living together.
Shakira is “devastated” to find that “this woman definitely felt at home in the house they shared with their children,” a source told Page Six.
“They were still very much together at that time,” they added.
“It’s heartbreaking for her to discover that this affair has been going on for much longer than she anticipated.”
Outside of music, the Hips Don’t Lie singer has made oblique references to her divorce from Piqué on social media.
“Even if someone has deceived us, we must continue to trust,” she wrote in her New Year’s Instagram message. Continue to value oneself in the face of disdain.”
“Our tears do not go to waste; they nourish the soil where the future will be born and make us more human, so that even in the middle of pain, we may continue to love,” she continued.
Shakira was believed to be outraged at Piqué this week for placing their nine-year-old kid on a Twitch live stream. And that is also without her mother’s permission.
Her office issued a statement saying that “in no case provided her prior agreement nor was she consulted about her son Milan’s participation in the broadcast of an event by Gerard Piqué’s company, in a discussion of explicit content.”
